NEW YORK, NY – (October 2020) The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd., a collection of more than 430 independent luxury hotels, is proud to celebrate its more than 120 members who were awarded 2020 Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards.

At the start of the pandemic while almost no one was traveling, more than 700,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers cast their votes for the Readers’ Choice Awards. Leading Hotels’ venerable Baur au Lac in Zurich was recognized as the “Best Hotel in the World.” The property boasts a history as breathtaking as its Alp and lakeside setting. It is currently run by Mr. Andrea Kracht, a sixth-generation member of the owning family and the Chairman of Leading Hotels. Additionally, 12 Leading Hotels received 13 coveted #1 awards in their respective categories:
