The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd is pleased to present this spring’s additions to its global collection. Joining Leading Hotels’ more than 400 members will be new properties that span from the vineyards of Champagne to the modern metropolis of Tokyo.

Focusing on authenticity and quality means each of these new members share an original and refined view on their respective destinations. Curious travelers can now experience the hidden treasures of Paris while staying at a masterfully designed Italian/Parisian home, explore the Dallas Arts District through expert eyes, or take a dip in private thermal hot springs at a thousand-year-old castle in Tuscany.

Recently Opened


Palazzo Doglio (Cagliari, Italy)
Palazzo Doglio opened its doors in February 2020 on the island of Sardinia. The elegant urban sanctuary boasts 72 rooms that range from intimate spaces to impressive suites and combine classic details with contemporary design elements. Guests can enjoy a morning cappuccino in the charming interior courtyard, indulge in a massage in the fully-equipped spa or savor a variety of exotic culinary options on property.
Be sure to: Take to the sea. Travelers can experience a picturesque Marina sunset overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea or sunbathe at the famous Poetto Beach that’s only a short distance from the hotel.

J.K. Place Paris (Paris, France)
J.K. Place Paris opened January 2020 and is the first addition to the J.K. Place family outside of Italy. This Rive Gauche retreat occupies a former embassy and features 29 impeccably designed rooms by Michele Bönan. It also houses top culinary outlets including an upscale Northern Italian Restaurant, Casa Tua, as well as a fully outfitted Sisley Signature Spa. As a three-year labor of love by proprietor Ori Kafri, each detail of this property was masterfully designed to replicate the décor of J.K. Place’s world-famous collection in Rome, Capri and Florence.

Airelles Val d'Isère, Mademoiselle (Val d'Isère, France)
Opened in December 2019, Airelles Val d'Isère, Mademoiselle sits perched on the edge of the ski slopes overlooking the majestic summits of the Vanoise mountains. Inspired by the medieval period, Mademoiselle castle has 41 guestrooms and suites and five private apartments that come with a dedicated butler. The property also boasts an expansive Guerlain spa, magical children’s kingdom, cozy ski salon, gallery of boutiques hosting iconic brands, and four restaurants.
Be sure to: Soak up the sun during a mid-day ski break at Terrase de JÒIA pour Mademoiselle. The expansive sundeck is ideal place to wine and dine on the edge of the slopes.

Hall Arts Hotel (Dallas, Texas, United States)
HALL Arts Hotel debuted in December 2019 in the Dallas Arts District. The boutique retreat reflects and complements the soul of the Arts District with its design-forward spaces and extensive art collection brought together by former chief curator of the U.S. Department of State’s ‘Arts in Embassies’ program, Virginia Shore. With 183 stylishly-designed rooms and suites and a culinary experience as carefully curated as the art, HALL Arts Hotels exudes contemporary elegance.
Be sure to: Indulge in the arts. Enjoy the most recent exhibits at the Dallas Museum of Art, walk around the expansive Arts District, or observe HALL Arts’ exceptional in-house art collection.

Palace Elisabeth, Hvar Heritage Hotel (Hvar, Croatia)
Boasting unparalleled views of the town and harbor, Palace Elisabeth opened its doors September 2019. The hotel features stunning Venetian and Austrian architectural details, an indoor swimming pool and spa, multiple terraces and 45 rooms and suites. Guests can dine in San Marco Restaurant that features locally inspired cuisine and a collection of the finest local wines. Palace Elizabeth was named after the Austrian Empress Sisi in 1899 as Spa Hotel Empress Elisabeth. Today, with respect to the hotel's rich history and tradition, the property is now called Palace Elisabeth and is a historic landmark.
Be sure to: Discover the history of Hvar. From Palace Elisabeth’s 13th century roots to the nearby historical attractions including St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Hvar Public Theatre, there is no shortage of history to be discovered.

The Okura Tokyo (Tokyo, Japan)
Opening its doors to a new era of traditional Japanese beauty, The Okura Tokyo debuted in September 2019. The 508-room hotel, formerly known as Hotel Okura Tokyo, features two buildings, The Okura Heritage Wing and Okura Prestige Tower. The spacious property is in central Tokyo and surrounded by gardens and greenery. The hotel offers fine dining options and banquet facilities, including one of the largest ballrooms of any hotel in Tokyo.
Be sure to: Recharge in the gardens.The Okura Garden is an expansive urban oasis that captures the beauty of each season and incorporates the Japanese-garden karesansui tradition.

Baglioni Resort Maldives (Maagau Island, Dhaalu Atoll, Maldives)
Baglioni Resort Maldives opened August 2019 on the island of Maagau in the Dhaalu Atoll. Created using sustainable materials and employing eco-sensitive practices to minimize the environmental impact, Baglioni Resort Maldives is an exclusive getaway in the heart of the Indian Ocean. The distinctly Italian-inspired property features 96 rooms, the Baglioni Spa and prestigious gastronomic options.

Armancette Hotel, Chalets & Spa (Saint Gervais les Bains, France)
Armancette Hotel, Chalets & Spa opened in July 2019 facing the majestic Mont Blanc. Each of the 17 guest rooms and three chalets are individually decorated and offer unmatched views of the mountain or village, which provide guests with exceptional access to the third largest ski destination in France. From the heights of Saint Gervais les Bains, the property features a refreshing spa pool, gourmet restaurant, terrace overlooking the mountains, fully equipped gym, and a relaxing tea room.

Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa (Champillon, France)
Overlooking vineyards that stripe the hills of France’s Champagne region, the newly-renovated Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa reimagines a wine country retreat. The historic 47-room property spreads across a Modernist wing and 19th-century Post House. It features a world-class spa, Michelin-star restaurant, and prime location amidst wineries and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Castello di Velona Resort Thermal Spa and Winery (Siena, Italy)
Set on a hilltop in the southern tip of Montalcino in Tuscany, the thousand-year-old castle of Castello di Velona offers panoramic views of Brunello vineyards in Val d’Orcia. The iconic 80-room property once served as a hunting lodge for the Austrian royal family and has welcomed guests since the 19th century.
