LHW may, at any time and without notice, in its sole and absolute discretion, in addition to any other rights or remedies available to LHW, and without any liability whatsoever to a User, terminate or restrict a User's access to the Sites and any related services.

The headings used in these Terms and Conditions are included for convenience only and will not limit or otherwise affect these Terms and Conditions.

Assignment

You may not assign, convey, subcontract or delegate Your rights, duties or obligations hereunder.

Additional Terms and Conditions

Additional terms and conditions may apply to reservations, purchases of goods and services and other uses of portions of the Sites, and You agree to abide by such other terms and conditions.

Severability

The provisions contained in these Terms and Conditions shall be severable. In the event that any provision is determined to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision shall nonetheless be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

Waiver

No failure on the part of LHW to exercise, and no delay in exercising, any right or remedy arising hereunder shall operate as a waiver thereof; nor shall any single or partial exercise of any right or remedy arising hereunder preclude any other or further exercise thereof or the exercise of any other right or remedy. The waiver by LHW of any provision hereof shall not be deemed to constitute the waiver of any other provision hereof. All rights and remedies of LHW shall be cumulative and not alternative.

Attorney's Fees

If LHW takes any action to enforce these Terms and Conditions, LHW will be entitled to recover from You, and You agree to pay, all reasonable and necessary attorney's fees and any cost of litigation, in addition to any other relief, at law or in equity, to which LHW may be entitled.

Modification

LHW may at any time modify these Terms and Conditions, and Your continued use of the Sites will be conditioned upon the terms and conditions in force at the time of Your use. Accordingly, You agree to review these Terms and Conditions periodically, and Your continued access, use and/or posting on the Sites shall be deemed Your acceptance of, and agreement to, the changed Terms and Conditions.

EXCLUSION OF WARRANTY, DISCLAIMER

THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SHALL APPLY REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE CLAIM ASSERTED IS BASED ON CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, OR ANY OTHER THEORY OF RECOVERY.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of consequential or incidental damages, so some of the foregoing exclusions may not apply to You. YOU HEREBY WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS AGAINST LHW, ITS AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES AND LICENSORS ARISING OUT OF, OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE AND/OR ANY RELATED PRODUCTS OR SERVICES.

IN THE EVENT LHW IS HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES RELATED TO THIS SITE, YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY WILL BE LIMITED TO REIMBURSEMENT OF THE CHARGES FOR SERVICES OR PRODUCTS PAID FOR BY YOU THAT WERE NOT PROVIDED TO YOU.

Governing Law

Entire Agreement

These General Terms and Conditions, together with those incorporated herein or referred to herein (including, without limitation, the Sites Terms of Use, Reservation Terms and Conditions, Leaders Club Terms and Conditions and the LHW Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between us relating to the subject matter hereof, and supersede any prior understandings or agreements (whether oral or written) regarding the subject matter hereof, and may not be amended or modified except in writing or by making such amendments or modifications available on the Sites.

II. SITE TERMS OF USE
Use of this Site

The services of the Sites are available only to individuals who can form legally binding contracts under applicable law, and thus, are not available to minors. By using the Sites, You represent that You are of sufficient legal age to use the Sites and to create binding legal obligations for any liability You may incur as a result of the use of the Sites. You also warrant that You are legally authorized to make the travel reservations and/or purchases for either Yourself and/or for any other person for whom You are acting.

You may only use the Sites to make legitimate reservations or purchases and shall not use the Sites for any other purposes, including without limitation, to make any speculative, false or fraudulent reservations, or any reservation in anticipation of demand.

The Sites are to be used by You for Your personal use only. Commercial uses of the Sites are strictly prohibited. You agree that You will not use the Sites for chain letters, junk mail, "spamming", solicitations (commercial or non-commercial) or bulk communications of any kind including but not limited to distribution lists to any person who has not given specific permission to be included in such a list. You agree not to pretend to be any other person or a representative of any entity, whether actual or fictitious, including an employee or agent of LHW or any third party that provides services related to this Site. Any reservation made that does not comply with these Terms shall be deemed not to have been made validly.

"Chat Area" means any chat area, forum, message board, or similar service offered in conjunction with this Site. If You participate in a Chat Area, You agree that, in addition to complying with these Terms, You will not: defame, abuse, harass, threaten, or make any discriminatory statements about others; advocate illegal activity; use indecent, obscene or discourteous language or images; or provide content that is not related to the designated topic or theme of the Chat Area. You shall remain solely responsible and liable for Your use of the Chat Area. LHW reserves the right to remove or edit content from any forum at any time and for any reason in its sole and absolute discretion, however, LHW has no duty to do so, and is not responsible for the content or accuracy of any information in a Chat Area.

LHW HAS NO LIABILITY AND WILL NOT MAKE REFUNDS FOR ANY DELAY, CANCELLATION, OVERBOOKING OR OTHER CAUSES BEYOND LHW'S DIRECT CONTROL, AND LHW HAS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES, LOSS OR ADDITIONAL EXPENSES RESULTING THEREFROM.

Your Additional Obligations

You agree to the terms and conditions of purchase imposed by LHW, each Property, and other suppliers of other travel services (air, land, or sea), which may include, but are not limited to, restrictions against back to back ticketing, hidden city ticketing and round trip for one-way ticketing. You also agree that you are fully responsible and shall pay for all charges, amounts, fees, duties, taxes, and assessments arising out of Your use of the Sites and of the services provided herein when due, including additional taxes and fees that may not be included in the quoted rate. You agree to comply with all rules regarding the availability of rates, products or services, including penalty fees arising from Your failure to comply with said rules. You understand that any violation of any supplier's conditions of purchase may result in: cancellation of Your reservation(s) or purchase(s); Your being denied access to any flight(s), Property(s), automobile(s), activities, or service; Your forfeiting any monies paid for such reservation(s) or purchase(s); and LHW debiting Your account for any costs LHW incurs as a result of such violation. You also agree to allow LHW and each Property, and other suppliers of other travel services to charge the credit card on file for the payment of penalties arising from the Your failure to comply with such rules.

FUNCTIONALITY

The functionality on the Sites is provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law, LHW disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. LHW does not warrant that the functions of the Sites will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Sites or the server that makes them available are free of viruses or other harmful components. LHW does not warrant or make any representations regarding the use or the results of the use of the functionality in the Sites in terms of their accuracy, correctness, reliability, or otherwise.

LHW reserves the right to make changes to the functionality contained on the Sites at any time without notice. LHW also reserves the right to remove any functionality from the Sites at any time. LHW makes no representations or warranties that the materials on the Sites are appropriate or available for use in all locations.

III. Reservation Policy - Terms and Conditions

Just as each of our member hotels, resorts and spas is unique and distinguished, their respective rates, packages, special promotions and policies may vary. We always ask our guests to verify these details when making or confirming a reservation at a member hotel.

Scope of Services Provided by LHW

Through the Sites, LHW provides an online platform through which temporary accommodations offered by Properties, can advertise their rooms for reservation, and through which users to the Sites (“Users” or “You”) can make such reservations. By making a reservation through the Sites, the User enters into a direct (legally binding) contractual relationship with the respective Property. From the point at which the User makes the reservation, LHW acts solely as an intermediary between the User and the Property, transmitting the details of the reservation to the relevant Property and sending the User a confirmation email for and on behalf of the Property. Payment will be made directly to the Property.

Rate/Reservation Validity

A copy of any reservation confirmation will be provided to you. LHW also retains official records of reservation transactions, including details of dates of stay and room rates. In the event of discrepancies, alterations, modifications, or variations between this confirmation and our official records, our official records shall control. Tampering with this confirmation to alter the room rate or any other reservation information is strictly prohibited and will have legal consequences.

Early Departure

Some Properties have an early departure fee. Some rates may also require a minimum stay. You may change your departure date without a fee only if your rate plan and the applicable cancellation/revisions policy permit. Please contact your nearest LHW Reservations Office if you have any questions.

Exchange Rate

In the event of payments made directly to the Property on site, rates quoted and confirmed in non-local currencies will be converted to local currency by the Property at your time of payment, based on the exchange rate used by the Property and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Credit card charges may be subject to additional currency conversions and fees by banks or credit card companies at the time of processing of monthly statements, which are not within the Property’s or LHW’s control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card. Please contact your nearest LHW Reservations Office if you have any questions. A refund of a deposit or prepayment, if any, will be subject to the exchange rate at the time of any such refund and may differ from the exchange rate at the time such deposit or prepayment was made.

Group Reservations

A maximum of 4 rooms may be booked online. Reservations for 5 to 9 individual rooms require prior approval from the Property, so please contact your local LHW Reservations Office for assistance. For 10 or more rooms please contact the sales department at lhwsales@lhw.com.

Rate Requirements

As some rates have special requirements at check-in, you should verify that you qualify for the rate that you have reserved. Properties are not obligated to honor this rate if you do not qualify or do not have proof of qualification.

Prepaid Reservations

Some rate plans require prepayment in full and are non-cancelable, non-refundable, non-changeable and non-transferable. This will be identified in the rate description. For these rate plans, once you make a reservation, your credit card will be charged for the full amount. Credit will not be given for any unused reservation and the amount paid by you for such reservation cannot be used toward any other/future reservation.

Guarantee Rules

For reservations guaranteed with a credit card at the time of making your reservation, rooms are held until the Property check-out time the day following the day of arrival on the reservation. The Property may authorize the room rate for the first night, including taxes on the credit card to determine the validity of the credit card. Rooms booked with an invalid credit card are subject to immediate cancellation.

For reservations not guaranteed with a form of payment at the time of making your reservation, rooms are held until the set cancellation time per the rules of the reservation. In the event a guest cannot be accommodated due to the Property overbooking or an unforeseen circumstance, and the Property is unable to hold rooms consistent with this room hold policy, the Property will attempt to accommodate guests, at its expense, at a comparable property in the area for the night(s) for which the Property is unable to accommodate such guests, and will pay for transportation to that property, provided the guest grants an express prior consent for such re-accommodation.

Travel Destinations

Travel to certain destinations may involve greater risk than others. LHW urges guests to review travel prohibitions, warnings, announcements and advisories issued by a guest’s country of residence, as well as those of any destination country, prior to booking travel. Please contact the appropriate government office in your locale for information on conditions in various countries and the level of risk associated with travel to particular destinations. LHW does not represent or warrant that travel to, or accommodations in, destinations where services are offered is advisable or without risk, and is not liable for damages or losses that may result from travel to, or staying in, such destinations except for damages or losses caused by LHW's fault or negligence.

Special Requests

Although some Properties will confirm specific room types or bed types at the time you make your reservation, normally requests for specific features such as bedding type or non-smoking rooms are simply that. While most Properties will strive to honor your request, neither LHW nor the Property can guarantee that your request will be honored.

Pets

If you plan to travel with your pet, we recommend that you confirm directly with your nearest LHW Reservations Office that the Property does, indeed, accept pets. LHW accepts no responsibility for the pet policy at any individual Property. Specific pet policies may require a damage/cleaning deposit at the time of check-in which may be non-refundable.

Cancellation Information

Cancellation policies and other information about specific room reservations and Properties may vary by Property and by the type of reservation and may entail a cancellation penalty or processing fee. To cancel or modify a reservation made online, please visit www.LHW.com . Reservations made through a travel agent must be cancelled through that agent, as the agency controls the record. For assistance with all other reservations, please contact LHW at 1-800-223-6800 if you are calling from the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Otherwise, please contact your nearest LHW Reservations Office. For all cancellations made through LHW, a cancellation number will be provided to you. A cancellation number is required as proof of cancellation, but will have no effect on any cancellation penalty or fee that may be due pursuant to the applicable cancellation policy. Please note that reservations cannot be canceled via e-mail.

Limitation of Liability

LHW is acting hereunder solely for the purpose of processing reservations. LHW does not own or manage any Property and will not enter into a direct reservation and accommodation contract with you. Information regarding rooms, facilities and services offered at the Property contained in this website has been provided by the Property. LHW does not make any representation or warranty, express or implied, of any kind with respect thereto.

Force Majeure

Neither LHW nor any Property will be liable for any change or cancellation of any reservation that is caused, in whole or in part, by events of force majeure as defined by the competent Courts.

IV. Leaders Club - Terms and Conditions
General Terms

The following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) apply to your membership in The Leaders Club program (“The Leaders Club”) of The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. (“LHW”). Your participation in The Leaders Club will be governed by these Terms and Conditions. It is your responsibility to read them and to comply with them.

  • The Leaders Club is available to individuals residing in countries that legally permit participation in loyalty programs. Your participation in The Leaders Club constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, as well as to any changes or modifications made to them by LHW.
  • Application for membership, or membership in The Leaders Club, is void if prohibited by law in your country of residence.
  • You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to be a member of The Leaders Club.
  • You must provide a valid email address to become a member of The Leaders Club.
  • Your membership in The Leaders Club is not transferable.
  • The Leaders Club membership and its benefits are offered at the sole discretion of LHW. Benefits will be available at those hotels and resorts which are members of The Leading Hotels of the World (a “Member Hotel”). Member Hotels may vary from time to time as may the delivery of some benefits and services.
  • LHW reserves the right, in its sole discretion, and with or without notice to you, to add, modify, delete or otherwise change any of these Terms and Conditions, including, without limitation the Leaders Club rules, procedures, and benefits, as well as the earning and redemption of Leaders Club points and Leaders Club membership levels, and the ability for you to purchase Leaders Club points or transfer points from third party entities with whom LHW has an affiliation with regard to Points Transfers, as defined below (“Third Party Loyalty Provider”) even though such changes may affect your Leaders Club account or the value of Leaders Club points already issued to you. This means that LHW may make changes that affect, but are not limited to, travel partner affiliations, rules and procedures for the use of benefits and Leaders Club points, benefit types, membership levels required for obtaining benefits and Leaders Club points, continued availability of Leaders Club points, blackout dates, room availability for redemptions, and the terms of special offers.
  • The Leaders Club has no predetermined termination date. LHW may terminate The Leaders Club at any time, with or without notice to you.
  • Fraud, abuse, or any misuse of The Leaders Club benefits or Leaders Club points, including without limitation, Leaders Club reward point redemption or usage, the purchase of points, Points Transfers, membership privileges and benefits or other use of The Leaders Club program in a manner that is inconsistent with these Terms and Conditions or the intent of The Leaders Club , is subject to appropriate administrative and/or legal action by LHW, including the forfeiture of your earned Leaders Club points, the termination of your Leaders Club privileges, and the revocation of your membership. LHW also reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to immediately discontinue your Leaders Club membership, and terminate your account, if you violate any local, state, or federal laws or ordinance, fail to pay any valid bill, or engage in improper conduct with any employee at a Member Hotel or with LHW. Nothing contained in these Terms and Conditions shall limit LHW in the exercise of its legal or equitable rights or remedies.
  • Earning, purchasing, and redeeming Leaders Club points and Points Transfers are subject to all applicable laws and regulations. Leaders Club benefits and reward points may be subject to income or other taxes. Such taxes and all disclosures related thereto are the sole responsibility of you as the member.
  • As a member of The Leaders Club, you are responsible for promptly advising LHW of any changes to your contact information.
  • Neither LHW, nor any affiliate or subsidiary, makes any warranties or representations, either expressed or implied, and expressly disclaims any and all liability (including consequential damages) with respect to type, quality, or fitness of goods or services provided through the Leaders Club, a Member Hotel, or a third party affiliated with The Leaders Club. Neither LHW, nor any affiliate or subsidiary, shall be liable or responsible for any performance or non-performance by any Member Hotel at which Leaders Club points are redeemed, or for any discrepancy in the rooms, facilities, or services available at any such Member Hotel from those set forth on the sites or elsewhere, and shall not be liable for any damages that may result therefrom.
  • LHW is not responsible for, and reserves the right to correct, any pricing or typographical errors, errors of description, or errors regarding Member Hotels and affiliated parties.
  • Employees of LHW are not eligible to be members of The Leaders Club.
  • Neither LHW, nor its affiliates or subsidiaries, is responsible for and assumes no liability, for changes or discontinuation of partner products and/or services, which may affect The Leaders Club or your ability to purchase points or make a Points Transfer.
  • As a Leaders Club member, you are responsible for remaining knowledgeable regarding these Terms and Conditions. In addition, you are responsible for keeping track of the Leaders Club rewards points and upgrades in your account. You can view your Leaders Club points balance and the number of upgrades you have available by logging into your account on the sites. Although LHW may advise you of matters of interest regarding The Leaders Club, including notification of changes to The Leaders Club, it is not required to do so. Neither LHW, its subsidiaries and affiliates, nor companies otherwise participating in The Leaders Club will be liable or responsible for any of the following:
    • failure to provide notification of any kind to a member;
    • incorrect or inaccurate transcription of member contact information;
    • any human error;
    • interruption, deletion, omission, defect, or line failure of any telephone network or electronic transmission;
    • problems relating to computer equipment, software, inability to access any website or on-line service or any other technical or non-technical error or malfunction;
    • requests or correspondence contained in any lost, late, stolen, illegible, incomplete, garbled, misdirected, mutilated or postage due mail or other mail or electronic mail; or
    • damages that may be sustained by any member as a result of any of the foregoing.
  • These Terms and Conditions will be interpreted and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute with respect thereto or The Leaders Club will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York, New York.
Membership Details

Your Leaders Club membership will not expire.

Membership Status Levels

Club member: The base membership level in The Leaders Club.

Sterling status: Upon reaching certain milestones, a Club member will earn Sterling status. The requirement for earning this status is set forth under “Earning Membership Status” below.

Qualifying Period

The period to qualify for Sterling status is January 1 through December 31 of each year (the “Sterling Qualifying Period”). You must qualify for Sterling status on an annual basis. Once you qualify for Sterling status, the applicable benefits will commence and will continue through December 31 of the calendar year immediately following such Qualifying Period. For example, if you meet the spend threshold to qualify for Sterling status in October 2024, your Sterling status benefits will commence at that time and continue through December 2025.

Earning Membership Status

To earn Sterling status, your room rate spend at Member Hotels must be at least USD $5,000 within a Qualifying Period. Room rate spend will not be counted toward your status until you have completed a stay.

TERMINATION

Your Leaders Club membership does not have a pre-determined expiration date. You may voluntarily terminate your membership at any time by contacting an LHW Reservation and Service Center or by providing email notice to theleaders@lhw.com. In addition, if your Leaders Club membership has no activity for three (3) consecutive years, your Leaders Club account may be deactivated. If you choose to voluntarily terminate your membership, or if it is deactivated, you can re-apply for a membership at any time. However, neither your unused Leaders Club points nor Leaders Club membership status will be reinstated to your account.

Eligibility for Benefits

You will be eligible to earn Leaders Club points provided you book a reservation using any of the following qualified rates and provide your Leaders Club membership number (a “Qualified Stay”):

  • Publicly available rates
  • Leaders Club member only rates
  • Corporate and negotiated rates

You will not receive Leaders Club points for any other rates.

In addition, you will not receive Leaders Club points, regardless of the rate, for the following bookings:

  • Bookings through online travel agencies
  • Group bookings
  • Tour operator bookings
  • Bookings for which you have prepaid a travel professional
ELIGIBILITY FOR BENEFITS: LEADERS CLUB ON-PROPERTY BENEFITS

You will be eligible for Leaders Club on-property benefits when you book a publicly available rate or Leaders Club member only rate through one of the following eligible booking channels and provide your Leaders Club membership number:

  • An LHW Worldwide Reservations and Service Center. A list of these reservations centers is available at https://www.lhw.com/customer-care
  • Your Leaders Club online account on www.lhw.com
  • Your Leaders Club online account on the Leading Hotels of the World mobile app.
  • Any travel agent (other than an online travel agent or any such travel-related booking website) making the booking through the Global Distribution System provided that said travel agent provides your Leaders Club number at the time of booking.

Unless otherwise specified by LHW, reservations made directly with a Member Hotel are not eligible for Leaders Club benefits or Leaders Club points. A list of Member Hotels where you can book directly online with the hotel and for which you will be eligible for Leaders Club benefits and can earn points can be found www.lhw.com/HotelDirect.

During a redemption night stay you will receive Leaders Club benefits, however, this stay is not eligible for an upgrade and you will not earn Leaders Club points.

Benefits

The Leaders Club benefits are described below and will be updated periodically by LHW. Benefits are only applicable to reservations that meet the eligibility requirements set forth above.

Only you as The Leaders Club member on the account may take advantage of The Leaders Club benefits. That means, if you have multiple rooms booked for the same night(s), only the Leaders Club member’s room will receive benefits during your stay. However, you may earn Leaders Club points on up to three (3) rooms per booking as set forth in these Terms & Conditions. Members will receive benefits based on the following conditions:

One-Category Room Pre-Arrival Upgrade
  • As a Leaders Club member, you will receive an allotment of one-category room upgrades to be arranged before arrival (a “pre-arrival upgrade”) based on your membership status at the beginning of a Qualifying Period. As a Club member, you will receive one (1) pre-arrival upgrade upon qualification. With Sterling status, you will receive five (5) pre-arrival upgrades upon qualification.
  • As a new Leaders Club member, you will qualify to receive your first pre-arrival upgrade after you complete your first paid qualifying stay as a Leaders Club member. After that, you will receive one additional pre-arrival upgrade in January during each year of your membership.
  • If you qualify for Sterling status during a Qualifying Period, you will be awarded five (5) additional pre-arrival upgrades, which will be added to the pre-arrival upgrades in your membership account that you received as a Club member. All pre-arrival upgrades that you have not used will expire at 12:00 am midnight Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) on December 31 of each year. For example, as a Club member, you will receive one (1) pre-arrival upgrade after you complete your first paid stay as a Leaders Club member. If you then meet the spend threshold to earn Sterling status, and have not used the pre-arrival upgrade you previously received, you will have six (6) pre-arrival upgrades for the remainder of the Qualifying Period in which you earned Sterling status. Any unused upgrades will expire at 12:00 am midnight Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) on December 31 of that year. You will receive five (5) new upgrades on January 1 of each calendar year during which you have Sterling status.
  • A pre-arrival upgrade may only be used in connection with a reservation booked through an Eligible Booking Channel.
  • Your reservation will only be eligible for a pre-arrival upgrade if it is made at least three (3) days before 12:00 am midnight Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) on the date of your arrival. If you make a request after this time, it will not be accommodated. In addition, you will receive an email from us with the status of your pre-arrival upgrade by 12:00 am midnight Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) three (3) days prior to the date of your arrival. As Coordinated Universal Time may differ from your time zone, please be aware of how these deadlines translate to your time zone.
  • All pre-arrival upgrades will be a one-room category upgrade from the room type you reserved only, but cannot be used to upgrade to, or within, a suite category. Room types and categories will vary among the Member Hotels. Pre-arrival upgrades cannot be used for multiple rooms during one stay and can only be applied to your room as The Leaders Club member.
  • Pre-arrival upgrades are not guaranteed and are at the discretion of the Member Hotel.
  • If LHW is unable to confirm a pre-arrival upgrade request that has been made in accordance with the conditions set forth above, the pre-arrival upgrade will be re-credited to your account, and you will receive five hundred (500) Leaders Club points in your Leaders Club account after you complete your stay.
  • A pre-arrival upgrade that has been requested or confirmed will be forfeited if:
    • Your reservation is booked during one Qualifying Period and is cancelled in the following Qualifying Period.
    • Your reservation is cancelled less than 12:00 am midnight Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) three (3) days prior to your check-in date, even if such cancellation is within the hotel’s free cancellation policy.
  • If you modify a reservation that includes a confirmed pre-arrival upgrade it may not be possible to apply the pre-arrival upgrade to your modified reservation. You will be notified at a later date whether such upgrade can be confirmed.
  • Reservations made at Member Hotels with only suite category rooms are not eligible for pre-arrival upgrades.
One Category Upgrade Priority at Arrival

You are also entitled to priority status for a one-category upgrade at arrival to be arranged by the Member Hotel, if available, at check-in, provided you have not used a pre-arrival upgrade for that stay.

Room types and categories will vary among the Member Hotels. A one-category upgrade priority at arrival is at the discretion of the Hotel, which will take into account the membership level and upgrade availability on the day of arrival, and is not guaranteed. An upgrade to, or within, a suite category room is also in the sole discretion of the Member Hotel.

Continental Breakfast for Two

You will receive a complimentary continental breakfast for you and one guest staying in your room during each day of your stay. If you book multiple rooms during a stay, only you and one additional guest staying in your room are eligible for the complimentary continental breakfast each day. A guest who is not residing in your room is not eligible to receive the complimentary breakfast benefit. You are not eligible for any compensation in the event that breakfast is included in the room rate.

Early Check-in/Late Check-out

Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and to the specific Member Hotel arrival and room pricing policies.

Complimentary In-Room WiFi

You will receive complimentary in-room WiFi access during your stay. You are not eligible for any compensation in the event that WiFi is included in the room rate or not offered at the Member Hotel.

Special Rates

Leaders Club special rates may be available to you from time to time and will provide additional discounts for Leaders Club members. The Leaders Club special rates, if available, may not be combined with any other discounted rate or offer.

  • Member Hotels may participate in the Leaders Club special rates at their option; accordingly, this benefit, though it may be offered at some Member Hotels, may not be available at every Member Hotel.
  • Member Hotels may, at their option, impose conditions on special rates, including minimum lengths of stay.
  • Members only sales and/or special promotions are not transferable and only you as the recipient thereof may take advantage of such sale or promotion.
Leaders Club Points

Your Leaders Club membership entitles you to accrue Leaders Club points, purchase Leaders Club points and make a Points Transfer that you can redeem for complimentary stays at Member Hotels.

Earning Leaders Club Points
  • You will earn one (1) Leaders Club reward point for every USD $1.00, or the currency equivalent, you spend on the room rate for a booking at a Member Hotel for each qualifying stay. Points will be rounded up to the nearest whole number if the spend is greater than or equal to USD $.50 and rounded down the nearest whole number if the spend is less than USD $.50. Any other charges you make during a stay are not eligible for Leaders Club points. Your Leaders Club account must be activated and associated with a booking prior to arrival in order to earn Leaders Club points for a stay.
  • You may earn Leaders Club points on a maximum of three (3) rooms per booking as long as you stay in one of the reserved rooms. If you book more than three (3) rooms at different room rates, the reward points will be given in connection with the three (3) rooms with the highest room rate. However, Leaders Club benefits will only apply to your room.
  • Stays completed at a Member Hotel prior to you enrolling in The Leaders Club are not eligible for Leaders Club points.
  • You cannot earn Leaders Club points until you have completed a stay. It may take up to ten (10) days for reward points to appear in your account.
  • If you redeem Leaders Club points for a stay at a Member Hotel, you will not earn points for that stay. If you redeem Leaders Club points for a stay that is combined with paid nights during the same stay, the nights for which you paid will be considered a Qualifying Stay, and you will earn Leaders Club points for that portion of the stay, provided it otherwise meets the requirements to be a Qualifying Stay.
  • If you change or modify a reservation during a stay, you must notify LHW in order to ensure you receive the correct number of Leaders Club points. There may be a delay in the reward points appearing in your Leaders Club account in the event of a change or modification.
  • We reserve the right to adjust the Leaders Club points credited to your account if we determine that an error was made in the calculation thereof.
  • The amount of Leaders Club points you earn for qualifying stays at Member Hotels where a non-USD currency is used will be calculated based on the room rate converted to US dollars at the exchange rate selected by LHW. This may be the foreign exchange rate used by a Member Hotel at check-in, at check-out or another rate selected by us and may not be the same rate used for currency conversions when you checked-in or checked-out.
  • A stay will not be considered to be a Qualified Stay, and you will not earn any Leaders Club points in connection therewith, in the event of a "no show" situation - when you have made a reservation but do not check in to the Member Hotel, whether or not your credit card is charged for any portion of the reserved stay per the Member Hotel's "no show" policy.
  • We reserve the right to adjust any Qualifying Stays posted to your account in error.
  • You can view your Qualifying Stays by logging into your Leaders Club Account at www.lhw.com. If you have any questions regarding your Qualifying Stays, please send your inquiries to reservations@lhw.com.
  • If you believe you did not receive Leaders Club points for a Qualifying Stay, please contact The Leaders Club by going to https://www.lhw.com/customer-care, choose “Points Adjustment Request” from the drop down and attach a legible copy of your Member Hotel invoice, or contact an LHW Worldwide Reservations and Service Center. Any request you submit must be accompanied by adequate and unaltered documentation regarding the Qualified Stay. Failure to supply such documentation may result in the denial of the request for Leaders Club points. Requests must be received by LHW within six (6) months from the check-out date of the stay in question. A late request will not be processed.
  • Your Leaders Club points are non-transferable. The sale or barter of any Leaders Club points or benefits is strictly prohibited.
Stay Bonus
  • As a benefit of Sterling status, you will receive a points bonus equal to five percent (5%) of your room rate spend, excluding taxes and fees, in USD after each Qualifying Stay, calculated at the rate of one (1) point for each dollar of room rate spend.
  • It may take up to ten (10) days for the points bonus to appear in your account.
Points From Promotions
  • The Leaders Club may offer limited-time promotions that provide bonus points or benefits. These promotions are governed by these Terms and Conditions but may have additional terms and conditions that are specific to the individual promotion and may require a separate registration. Many of these promotions are only available to you as the Leaders Club member who receives a specific communication from LHW or from a Third Party Loyalty Provider. Registration for a special offer for which you are not invited to participate is not permitted. Doing so is a violation of these Terms and Conditions and may result in the cancellation of your Leaders Club membership, forfeiture of all of your Leaders Club bonus points, and restrictions on your ability to rejoin The Leaders Club in the future.
Points Expiration
  • All points in your account will expire twenty-four (24) months after the last date on which you have earned, purchased, transferred or redeemed points. Once your points have expired, the points cannot be reinstated. However, if you have a Qualified Stay after such twenty-four (24) month period, you will begin to earn points again and a new twenty-four (24) month period will commence.
Points Purchase
  • Leaders Club members may purchase Leaders Club points online for themselves or as a gift for another Leaders Club member through the “Manage Points” feature on LHW.com (hereinafter referred to as “Purchased Points”). Members must purchase a minimum of one thousand (1,000) Leaders Club points per purchase transaction and may purchase a maximum of fifty thousand (50,000) Leaders Club points during any calendar year.
  • To receive Purchased Points as a gift, the recipient must also be a Leaders Club member.
  • The total cost of the Purchased Points will be displayed to the Member during the purchase process before the purchase is finalized. Leaders Club points purchases may be made in U.S. Dollars, British Pounds Sterling, or Euros.
  • Leaders Club points purchases will be processed by Points.com and are subject to the Points.com Terms of Sale.
  • Purchased Points are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Leaders Club Program.
  • Purchased Points will not count toward any Leaders Club tier qualification.
  • It may take up to ten (10) days for Purchased Points to appear in your account.
  • For questions or disputes involving Purchased Points, please contact an LHW Worldwide Reservations and Service Center. In resolving any dispute, LHW will rely on the purchase data regarding your Points Purchase contained in its’ Leaders Club’s records.
  • The Leaders Club may terminate the ability for Leaders Club Members to purchase or gift points at any time in its sole discretion.
  • Purchased points are non-refundable.
Points Transfer
  • Leaders Club Members may be given the opportunity to convert points from certain Third Party Loyalty Provider programs into Leaders Club points and transfer them to the Member’s Leaders Club account (“Points Transfer”). These programs, and the terms of the Point Transfer, will be determined and may be changed by the Leaders Club in its sole and absolute discretion at any time without notice.
  • To activate a Points Transfer, you must be a Leaders Club member, and you must have a valid account with the applicable Third Party Loyalty Provider from whom the Points Transfer will be made. The first and last names on both your Leaders Club account and your Third Party Loyalty Provider program account must match.
  • The conversion rate for the Points Transfer will be provided by the Third Party Loyalty Provider at the time of the Points Transfer.
  • To complete a Points Transfer, you must follow the processes set forth by the Third Party Loyalty Provider at the time of the transfer and these terms and conditions.
  • Points Transfers may be subject to rules regarding minimum, increment, and maximum Points Transfer amounts. These rules may be found on the Third Party Loyalty Provider’s website.
  • It may take up to ten (10) days after the completion of a valid Points Transfer request for the points transferred to be added to your Leaders Club account point balance.
  • Once you submit a request for a Points Transfer, such request may not be cancelled.
  • Points transferred may not be reversed or put back into your Third Party Loyalty Provider account.
  • The Leaders Club is not responsible for any Third Party Loyalty Provider from which Points Transfers may take place and makes no representation regarding travel services or loyalty programs provided by any such Third Party Loyalty Provider.
  • For questions or disputes regarding your Third Party Loyalty Provider program, please refer to the contact information provided in the terms and conditions of your Third Party Loyalty Provider program. The list of applicable Third Party Loyalty Providers can be found on ‘Manage Points’ at LHW.COM.
Redeeming Leaders Club points

Leaders Club points can be redeemed at a Member Hotel for redemption nights, subject to availability at that Member Hotel at the time booking.

  • You can make a reservation for a redemption night through your online account on the Sites or by calling an LHW Worldwide Reservations and Service Center.
  • Availability for redemption nights is subject to the Member Hotel’s room type and Leaders Club redemption night availability at the Member Hotel. Only LHW, and not the Member Hotel, can make a redemption night booking.
  • There may be an additional charge for additional person(s) in the room per the Member Hotel's policy.
  • You may not use a pre-arrival upgrade for a redemption night booking.
  • If your reservation for a redemption night includes additional paid nights in a different room category, the Member Hotel will make an attempt to provide the same room type for the redemption night as the nights you have purchased.
  • You may not combine Leaders Club points from multiple Leaders Club accounts for redemption purposes.
  • Reservations made using Leaders Club points are not commissionable to travel agents.
  • You are entitled to Leaders Club benefits during a redemption night, other than pre-arrival upgrades and priority upgrades at time of check-in.
  • If you have redeemed Leaders Club points for a reservation on a date that will take place after your membership has ended, the reservation will be honored but you will not receive any Leaders Club benefits at the Member Hotel.
  • You must be present for a redemption night stay. Redemption nights may not be sold, transferred or otherwise conveyed to any other person. LHW reserves the right not to honor any redemption night it believes may have been sold, transferred, or conveyed contrary to this provision.
  • All-inclusive Member Hotels may require a per person food and beverage fee in connection with a redemption night.
  • As a Leaders Club member, you are responsible for all taxes and governmental charges, including any value-added tax (VAT), associated with a redemption night booking.
  • You may redeem Leaders Club points for the Member Hotel room rate only. Charges for Member Hotel services and other incidentals that you purchase before or during the stay are not included and will be your responsibility.
  • You must call an LHW Worldwide Reservations and Service Center to modify a redemption night booking, including changes made during a stay.
  • You can cancel a redemption night booking through the Sites or by calling an LHW Worldwide Reservations and Service Center. If the cancellation is made before the check-in date, your reward points will be credited back into your account but you may be responsible for cancellation fees pursuant to the Member Hotel’s cancellation policy. It may take up to ten (10) days for the points to be credited back to your account to be used toward a new redemption night booking.
  • If you "no-show" or cancel a redemption night reservation that contains additional paid nights, the Member Hotel's cancellation policy will be applicable and you may incur cancellation penalties or other fees with regard to the paid nights. You will be informed of the Member Hotel’s cancellation policy at the time you make a reservation. It is your responsibility to be aware of these policies.
Death

In the event of death, we may, in our sole discretion, allow your unredeemed Leaders Club points to be transferred to another Leaders Club member’s account upon our receipt and review of all requested documentation. However, your Leaders Club membership status and the related benefits, including, without limitation, pre-arrival upgrades, will not transfer to the recipient of the Leaders Club points.

Divorce

In the event of a finalized divorce, we may, in our sole discretion, allow your unredeemed Leaders Club points to be transferred to another Leaders Club member’s account upon our receipt and review of all requested documentation, including, without limitation, legal documents directing such a transfer of Leaders Club points. Your Leaders Club Membership status and the related benefits, including, without limitation, pre-arrival upgrades, will not transfer to the recipient of the Leaders Club points.

V. LHW HOTELIER PORTAL SITE TERMS OF USE
USE OF THIS SITE

The services of this site (“Site”) are available only to individuals who can form legally binding contracts under applicable law, and thus, are not available to minors. By using this Site, you represent that you are of sufficient legal age to use this Site and to create binding legal obligations for any liability You may incur as a result of the use of this Site. You also warrant that you are legally authorized to make the travel reservations and/or purchases for either yourself and/or for any other person for whom you are acting.

You may only use this Site for the following:

  1. To receive information from The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. (“LHW”), about your membership in The Leading Hotels of the World, LHW corporate updates and initiatives, training materials, and industry best practices;
  2. To share information with LHW regarding your hotel, including hotel contacts and content about your hotel; and
  3. To collaborate with LHW and hotels which are members of the group of hotels known as The Leading Hotels of the World (“Member Hotels”) by participating in discussion threads regarding topics relevant to independent luxury hotels.
  4. To receive information about business accounts and contacts of LHW, which may be used to establish individual relationships with accounts and contacts

This Site is to be used by you solely for purposes set forth above. Other uses of this Site are strictly prohibited. You agree that you will not use this Site for chain letters, junk mail, "spamming", solicitations (commercial or non-commercial) or bulk communications of any kind including but not limited to distribution lists to any person who has not given specific permission to be included in such a list. You agree not to pretend to be any other person or a representative of any entity, whether actual or fictitious, including an employee or agent of LHW or any third party that provides services related to this Site.

All messages, content and supporting materials (“Material”) included in the LHW Hotelier Portal are the property of LHW. Such Material may only be by the hotel for internal business purposes. The sharing and distribution to anyone outside of the hotel for any purpose is not permitted, including posting it on the internet and/or sharing it on social media.

"Community Discussion Board" means any chat area, forum, message board, or similar service offered in conjunction with this Site. If you participate in a Community Discussion Board you agree that, in addition to complying with these Terms, you will not: defame, abuse, harass, threaten, or make any discriminatory statements about others; advocate illegal activity; use indecent, obscene or discourteous language or images; or provide content that is not related to the designated topic or theme of the Community Discussion Board. You shall remain solely responsible and liable for your use of the Community Discussion Board. LHW reserves the right to remove or edit content from any forum at any time and for any reason in its sole and absolute discretion, however, LHW has no duty to do so, and is not responsible for the content or accuracy of any information in a Community Discussion Board. If you participate in a Community Discussion Board other participants in the Community Discussion Board, including, without limitation, employees of LHW and the Member Hotels will have be able to view the personal information that is associated with your account in the LHW Hotelier Portal, including the name of your hotel and your e-mail address.

You agree that you will not use any robot, spider, other automatic device or manual process to monitor or copy the Site or any content or information contained herein, unless you obtain LHW's prior express written consent. You agree that you will not, through any means, interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the Site. You agree that you will not provide to LHW and/or to this Site: (i) any viruses, worms, time bombs, and/or other computer programming routines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, intercept or expropriate any system, data or information; and (ii) any content that may create liability for LHW or cause LHW to lose (in whole or in part) the services of our suppliers.
