Brigitte Van Den Houte Appointed Vice President, Global Human Resources

NEW YORK, NY —  (May 2021) - The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. (LHW) has appointed Brigitte Van Den Houte to the position of Vice President, Global Human Resources. Ms. Van Den Houte assumed the position in April 2021 and will be based out of LHW’s global headquarters in New York City.

Ms. Van Den Houte will serve as a vital leader at LHW and report to President and Chief Executive Officer Shannon Knapp. Together with the management team she will work to build the post-pandemic future for LHW.

In her role, Ms. Van Den Houte will be responsible for designing and implementing a new global Human Resources strategy to support the company’s strategic vision. She will oversee the global Human Resources team and ensure ongoing organizational effectiveness. During this critical time in the travel industry, Ms. Van Den Houte will further cultivate the company’s growth mindset and continue to build a high-performance culture to support LHW’s more than 400 worldwide hotels.

Ms. Van Den Houte’s Global Human Resources expertise spans over 20 years and multiple countries. Prior to joining LHW she most recently served as senior vice president, human resources, global talent management at Pitney Bowes, Inc. During her successful career she has led culture transformations within a complex environment with multiple, geographically disbursed locations around the world, including Europe, North America, Brazil, and Asia Pacific. This expertise and experience with be an asset to LHW’s global community.

Ms. Van Den Houte holds a master’s in human resources management from Vlerick Business School in Belgium.
