Prepare For Your Close Up At A Legendary Parisian Portrait Studio
A Star Is Born

Experience the magic of a Prestige Portrait photo shoot during your next stay at Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet’s Paris.

In his 1957 collection of essays, Mythologies, Roland Barthes wrote, “In France, you aren't truly an actor if you haven't been photographed by Studio Harcourt." Credited with bringing black and white Hollywood-style photography to France in the 1930s and creating a visual record of the 20th century’s most notable figures in the arts and politics, Studio Harcourt is a living legend in Paris. Since its founding, generations of expert photographers have seated cultural luminaries from Salvador Dalí and Brigitte Bardot, to Catherine Deneuve, and Karl Lagerfeld under their bright tungsten lights, a technique that bestows an aerated, almost ethereal quality to its subjects.

Makeup artists and a professional stylist assist you in preparation for your photo shoot experience.

Lights. Camera. Action.

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to become part of Studio Harcourt’s living visual history, and capture a timeless portrait with masters of their craft. After selecting your hair, makeup, and wardrobe looks for your portraits, you will be seated center stage, bathed in the signature Harcourt halo of light, and photographed from your most flattering angles. Once you have chosen your favorite images, the atelier’s retouchers will put the final finishes on your selections and you will receive your exclusive and personalized portrait package a few weeks later in the mail.

Follow up your photo shoot with dinner for two at Fouquet's Paris, the hotel’s luxury brasserie, which has served as the preferred meeting place of artists, writers, and filmmakers for more than 100 years. You’ll notice the many Harcourt prints lining the dining room walls, representing the who’s who of Paris—and frequent patrons of the brasserie—since its opening in 1899.
